SortCam Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
SortCam (“the app”) is provided by the developer listed on its App Store page. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Information the app collects
The app does not collect personal information, does not require an account, and does not send your photos or any other data to the developer. It contains no ads, no analytics, and no third-party software. Your settings, such as album order, hidden albums, and date stamp style, are stored only on your device.
Photos
The app reads your photo library so you can browse, filter, add photos to albums, and delete them. Photos you take are saved to your photo library. All of this happens on your device. When you delete items, iOS moves them to Recently Deleted.
Camera
The camera is used only to take photos that you save to an album.
Location
When “Record Location” is on, the app uses your location while the camera is open and writes it into the photo you take, as the iOS Camera app does. The location is stored in the photo in your photo library and is not sent to the developer. People you share a photo with may see where it was taken. You can turn this off in the app’s Settings, or turn off location access in iOS Settings.
Album name suggestions
On devices with Apple Intelligence, the app can suggest album names. It analyzes a few of the selected photos on your device using Apple’s on-device models. If the selected photos have locations, their coordinates are sent to Apple Maps to look up place names. This request is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Siri and Shortcuts
If you create an album with Siri or the Shortcuts app, the request is processed by Apple. The app receives only the album name.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
